Moving around in symmetric puzzles are weird. This is because the center of the puzzle is located in the center of the "symmetric chains" and not the chain that can actually be worked on.

What if we had a symmetric mode that would remove the symmetric chains so we can focus on the part that we can actually work on?

maybe just a symmetry button?

Hover your mouse over a piece of the backbone and type Q. That will center the view on that point. To return to the default center, hover mouse over empty space and type Q.
