All high solutions on 676 have one thing in common, a lot of argines, my gain even more than a third ...
To prevent this and maybe other abuse of overusing other aminoacids maybe a filter among the lines of:
no more than X pct of the number of acids may be the same
no more than Y pct may be the 3 most common
no more than Z pct may be the 5 most common
....
A diversity filter would be an appropriate name for it I think.
I dont think this type of filter would be slowing the puzzle much if implemented smart.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have a filter that basically does this but we haven't enabled it on any puzzles yet. We have been trying other approaches to try and avoid issues like this.

When the new version of main goes out there will be a 40 residue trimer posted with some of these new filters enabled. We will see what solutions come from that and work from there.
