Description: | We're moving up from the 30 residue dimer of dimers puzzle that we posted before, since increasing the length makes the produced designs more likely to fold up in nature. Remember, a symmetric protein relies not only on how well-folded each chain is, but also on how well they interface together. This dimer of dimers has two fundamentally different interfaces: the interface between chains A and B, and the interface between dimer AB and its partner, CD. We're really excited with some of the designs we've seen so far, and we're eager for more! |
