Player post your log.txt in this thread for today's devprev release.
Players quickly reporting multiple crashes. I was hand folding a new 586 and did not notice, although I ran Zero Length Bands just to hear the sound. Went to try other scripts because of the crash reports, but before I do so, I'm going to quicksave. Ctrl Shift 1 - Boom. Notice this repeated error in the log:
Autosave error.
Error opening for write.
(..\..\..\rosetta_source\src\game\application\novice\verify_util.cc:93)
And the tail end of my stack:

Posted on front page as well. Autosaves not working at all. I started a new puzzle with the new client and there are no autosaves after 6 to 10 attempts to run recipes.

Players are reporting crashes upon switching scripts. It may be that the first script does not use quicksave. It may also be that the first script and second script behave differently because for the first script, the save slot is 'Fresh', and for the second script, a save now exists.
This time I was able to start and stop Blue Fuse (which does not quicksave) several times without crashing. As soon as I started a Rav3n_pl script (which quicksaves at the beginning), it crashed on the quicksave.
Assigning to myself
note that other comments from colleagues who are in bed, were that: mac was ok - suggestion that the path in windows was still set for programmer path rather than user machines whould explain difference in compilations
Did not even show me puzzle I want to load... BANG!
Foldit just crashed randomly and now it wont let me log in to client! Could it be related?
Found the issue with quicksave, fixed. I will push an update to devprev when the other bugs it created are fixed.
I'm not sure that AsDawnBreaks is hitting the same bug, I'll look into it.
I can get in now, but it was weird. It was doing nothing (just finished a script) and before I could do anyhting else, it went away. no "foldit.exe has stopped working". It just vanished.
Happened again when I clicked a recipe to start. Dissapeared like last time. Should I make a new feedback for this?
Loaded update prior to seeing warning.
It will allow opening programs, changing tracks, downloading saved solutions, wiggle and shakes. It will crash on any script that starts with quick save, as far as i can tell (on my forth restart)
Crashed when trying to run Rav3n GAB script and on AT v1.7 fast.
Here is the log from the AT crash:

Reopened a client and it allowed a script Helix by 3 lws 1 to run. Stopped that one and tried HelixHula 11, which it also ran without problem. Tried another quicksave script Gray's rebuild worst, and crashed with this log:

Hope this helps some -
Yep. Me too. (See my latest post)
As spmm reported I have had no problems so far; running four instances of Foldit now and I have switched scripts. I am on MAC.
It should not affect Linux or Mac. It's a Windows specific bug.
It happened to me when a script quicksaved. Twice. My most recent log attached.

This should now be fixed in the just pushed out version of devprev
