The linux download package is incomplete and does not contain the configure script or an install package for compiling the program on a linux/ubuntu machine. Upon downloading and extracting the files, changing to the Foldit directory and executing: ./configure
the following error occurs
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
Meaning the configuration script does not exist because it wasn't included in the package. Thus the rest of the commands (make, make install, make clean, and checkinstall) are rendered useless.

Please check the completeness of the package or offer a .deb package so that Ubuntu users can use a software manager program to install it. Many times a .package extension will be sufficient.

The linux distribution is already compiled, and is meant to be run in-place. Simply go into the Foldit folder, and run ./Foldit
