Review, close or combine old cases

A suggestion. With 1064 open cases (ie a mountain for the devs) it would be great if everyone could clean up their own old posts.
If you are logged in to the foldit website on your 'My Page' there is a link ├žalled Cases which shows a list of all of your posts, so it is easy to find and review them.

Some posts may be able to be combined with others which are similar if they are still a problem.
If posts have been voted down they are unlikely to be actioned, your call as to what to do with them.

Good idea.

I've closed most of mine that were not closed or resolved.

Did the same to my cases and also bumped old issues that are still unresolved.

thanks guys - CFC, Boots, Mat747, Brick and many other active players with posts back to early 2009 - please at least close your own old bug reports if nothing else, to attempt to get to a manageable feedback list.

It looks as if the clean up has removed a few hundred cases so a good effort, would be great to clean up more 'noise' before the dev chat if possible.

Sweet jeezus... but I didn't realize I had so many open feedbacks. Thanks, spmm.

I closed most of them, and bumped the rest. My apologies if it now looks like I'm monopolizing the message boards.

Same here, there were a couple of.
Some of them were not up-to-date as they were dealing with feature requests now available with Lua V2, others had contents which were mentioned in other posts, too.

At the moment, we just can marks posts as double or close them.
Maybe it would help if users are allowed to delete their posts completely (only if these posts do have no answers from others, of course) or use polling in a topic if it can be deleted.

cleaning up old open feedback helps us a lot and we appreciate the effort.

no need to delete feedback, just mark it as closed (if it's no longer needed), resolved (if it has been fixed or the bug/feature no longer makes sense in the current version), or duplicate (if you find another feedback that is similar enough).

thanks guys (=

Bumping this up. We are closing in on one thousand open feedback entries, again.

Folderers, please review any open feedbacks you have, and take the appropriate measures. Thank you.

And while we're reconsidering this....

What about open feedbacks from players who are long absent from the game? Should we appoint someone(s) to review and close those that are resolved or no longer relevant? I'd like to hear from both players and the dev's.

Bumping this up, since we are just shy of a thousand open feedbacks.

I am going to volunteer to close any irrelevant and/or duplicate and/or resolved feedbacks by members who have not played in a year or more.

Speak up now if you think I'm out of line. Tomorrow I start the Great Feedback Purge of 2012.
