Phase-out parts of a molecule

I think in some situations, when a part of a protein is stuck in the middle and you want to move it out of there, it would be helpful to make it stop interacting with the rest of the protein except the one or two ends, where it connects to the rest.

Great idea. I've thought this myself. Don't know why I didn't suggest it.

I also don't know why the person who down-voted this didn't think of and post any better idea, or any alternative idea, or if this feature already exists (maybe by holding down some cross configuration of Ctrl, Alt, Shift, and Scroll Lock) why the down-voter didn't inform us.
