The contact map flashes in many colors. It is very tiring for the eyes.

this is fun, quite hard to get your head around the scoring and where the scores are shown; but life wasn't meant to be easy :-)
Wasn't able to load a recipe but assume that was the beta mode default.

I don't seem to be able to reset my best 'fold' score? Have read the tutorial and watched video.
If I hit A restore very best - it restores my highest exploration score, not my highest fold score, or my 'best'combined score I think.
So now I have a great exploration score but cannot improve my fold :-(
Hopefully you can see from attached. I reset credit best using Undo :-)
Made a helix, small gain. All good.
Ran Seagat Local Rebuild - ok for a bit then went Explorer screenshotpear shaped.
This good quality script resets recent best before it starts a set of six rebuilds on a section.
I guess that
In normal : Restore Credit Best reset the best score but we may need "restore credit recent best".
The recipes have old scoring. So the recipe find the best shape but not the more distant for the average.
In filter : the score is like old scoring but the condition are on distance from the average.
The filter is easier but may give less distance to the average.
I'll look into adding a "restore credit recent best" button, since that does seem to make a lot of sense.
A lot of the old recipes may not work for the purposes of this puzzle, but that is to be expected, as what you're trying to do is pretty dramatically different.
You're right that the filter version won't give as much distance from the start. It's something we're experimenting with because in the normal version, people tend to explore much more than is necessary a lot of the time.
Also, Marie: we're having trouble reproducing the bug that is causing your Contact Map to flash. We changed the code which draws that triangle a bit, so that may help. Let me know if it's still persisting after the update.
some lua functions to check current state: do we have reqs and current expl score.
Scripts can work properly only in "filter" exploration where we see "normal" score.
What is this "filter" of which you speak?
"filter" was the name of an alternative exploration system which was in the developer preview.
