Don't underestimate the past week's results

most of the contestants do proteins for a living and they spent exorbitant amount of time on that puzzle. I don't think it will be very easy to beat that score, though certainly if anyone can do it it would be the Foldit community.

Nice!

Madde's the prediction of 2 days was more or less right. maybe 3 days. it would be interesting to see how much better the score can get still, as well as how much of the foldit community ends up outperforming the university competition.

Scoring

Was the University competition judged solely on the Rosetta/Foldit algorithm for scoring, or do the GDT scores have the final say?

Also, when all is finished, it would be interesting to compare the GDT scores for Foldit predictions against those submitted from the University competition.

Only Foldit score

The competition was purely based on who could get the highest score, but obviously we are very interested in seeing who got closest to the native.

When the puzzle closes and we analyze all the results we will post them in the blog for sure!
We will provide GDT plots as well once the native is released.
