The server does not maintain achieved score.

I see a "rank up" message each time I restart the Foldit client.

Brick... I have noticed that you have a good sense of humor, but please do not put words in my mouth.

Yes, we are having many problems and are not fixing them as quickly as we would like.

We are all as frustrated as you are, trust me: I have many MiniCASP puzzles that I am dying to release to all of you, but want to make sure things are more stable before doing so.

But nobody ever promised that everything would start working on sunday.

In the past, when puzzles didn't get automatically scored on closing, the scoring scripts were able to be run in a couple of minutes.

Why is it taking weeks now to run the scoring scripts? Do they still exist or is someone having to create them from scratch?

This has got to be one of the worst PR issues you could have : Puzzles close and no one gets credited for the work. Outside of the usual "only in it for the science" group, most people compete for the sake of the competition. Why bother if there is no reward (scores/standings = reward)?

Oh - and I won big. I never bet on Fold.It doing anything on time.

What exactly is being reported here? Is the automatic scoring script not running? I checked it just now and it's fine, scores have been computed for puzzles. Are scores not being sent to the server? That's a networking issue, or if you're running an old Foldit version, possibly a client bug. Please clarify.

Scores are not acknowledged as being sent to the server.

For puzzle 196, I scored 10635.670, but the scoreboard showed only 10581.
I posted this to feedback well in advance of the deadline.
At the close of the puzzle, my score showed only 10581.

For puzzle 197, I scored 8810.808, but the scoreboard and home page has no record of it.

I've reinstalled the client twice, and I've restarted the client at least a dozen times in the past 4 days.
I can download new puzzles, and the client displays the current scoreboard.
And I can upload solutions to share with my group.
If that's a network issue, it's quite a selective one indeed.

Also for puzzle 193, I scored 10235.040 on Evolver, which was never reflected on the scoreboard.

I posted a message to admin in #global:

Don't know whether it is relevant, but a further piece of information to throw into the mix.
I play on two different PC's but it appears that my scores will only register if the puzzle is opened on the original PC I used.
If I play on the other machine the scores appear to be updated on the lists but do not register on the website. I have to save them, upload for myself and down load and open them on the other system to get them to register.
May be a different but related situation

I examined the log file and saw nothing unusual. So I did not save it.

It may seem presumptuous to make any technical suggestions, since I cannot see any of the back-end architecture, but this situation reminds me of an undetected database deadlock.

In some table, a user's row remains locked, while the others are unaffected.

A sysadmin eventually restarts the server, for some unrelated reason, and the user experiences temporary relief, but the bug remains.

Here is log from work on Puzzle 199
I loaded the puzzle on one PC and got to score 9080 - which is registered on the web.
I saved that soln and downloaded if for myself.
I then closed down the program and loaded it on the second PC
I opened puzzle 199 and uploaded the soln saved above.
I worked on the puzzle and got to a score of 9105, as shown in the screen shot
but this is not registered on the web.
Log below is for that second session.
