Shake function runs indefinitely in beta.

this may be intended as the release notes mention the change "Shake/Mutate Sidechains: There is a new algorithm for Shake and Mutate Sidechains. The interface is similar to wiggle now. It shows intermediate progess, can be cancelled in the middle, and you can let it run as long as you want, but it won't stop automatically."
looking into this a bit further, i do see this as a bit of a bug. it breaks compatibility with old recipes that expect shake to stop, and there is no option to set shake iterations on a recipe. so it will just sit there indefinitely waiting for you to hit stop. if possible can this be added to the behavior menu? an option to switch between classic and continuous shake, maybe another button. or at least the option to set shake iterations in recipes

It should stop in a recipe, the default is one iteration, although that one iteration might take longer than a shake used to.
I'll work on getting an iterations slider in for the recipes.
Alright, I've just posted an update to the developer preview that has an iterations option for shake in recipes.
adding a shake in a recipe now causes a segmentation fault in linux. hard crash nothing is dumped to the log
Sorry about that! That wasn't the intended behavior. It should be fixed now.

Marking as resolved.
This is the intended behavior. Shake and mutate sidechains behave more like wiggle now - you can see intermediate results, cancel them in the middle, and let them run as long as you like and they will continue to look to better scores.
