I don't uderstand, how does rank working? I resolved all possible puzzles with advance rating and in game I see rank for every puzzle. But on "my page" I see only score with rank 10.000
What is my mistake?

Rank error on puzzle 573b

My rank to day at the end of this puzzle Was 10.

The result presented on my page Half an hour after was 12. I registered the screenshot of my puzzle at the end af the game after it has expired. The rank was always 10. It has been 10 during a complet day witf a great difference with the next player

It the second time it happens for me. What append?

sounds like a disconnect

Your client only shows other players' scores correctly (and your rank) when connected to the server to get their updates. The score on the web page is the score the server has received and doesn't update if there is no connection between the client and the server. If the server connection is lost, the game keeps playing normally and your rank goes up because your score is improving and others are not. You would only notice the disconnect if you tried to access the saved solutions or upload/download a recipe. I saw this happen when there was a power outage at UW, new clients couldn't start so I left my existing clients running...my rank changed completely when I restarted my client after the servers were back. I was sad.

Suggestion after your clear answer: local test connection

To loose the connection, during the play without knowing it, is a bad think for the player. I suggest a modification of the software in order to test tocally if the connection is existing or not, with a smiling item on the puzzle window for information. I think it should be possible.

That is a very good suggestion, enszyme.

I agree that we should have a small icon (smiley face or green light) to let you know that you are currently connected. I have brought this up with the Foldit Development Team, so hopefully we'll be able to add that feature relatively soon.

I am sorry for the trouble you had with the recent scoreboards.
