I may be missing something, but I do not see the puzzle expiration time in the new interface. I hope that wasn't intentional :)

It's important! If I have two or more puzzles open and active, the expiration notification helps me prioritize where to work.

Please bring it back (as well as the player's current rank on that puzzle)!

I agree these items are important. You can get the rank from the scoreboard display, but that's often cumbersome. Expiration is also available by clicking through to the puzzle page, but that's also cumbersome. (edited)

I'd suggest a small font version of expiration time and rank, underneath the score.

While we're at it, the message about the number of segments selected has also been lost. That's a little annoying if you're trying a manual remix or something similar. Not sure where it should go, but it would be nice to have it back.

You can't get you rank from the scoreboard display if a script is running. Heck, you can't even type in chat during a script. We need the ranking clearly visible.

One more thing I realized: I kind of depend on seeing the rank and expiration time in screenshots, for posting the puzzle results. (Following in Paul Dunn's footsteps.)

I try to keep the results rankings as accurate as possible. Having the rank right there in the image gives me the correct value most of the time. The time remaining is also helpful in certain cases, where rank may have changed since a screenshot was posted.

If the scoreboards are displayed, I can get the rank from there. But players often don't show the scoreboards. Also, the scoreboards are no longer available at some point after expiration. So players who can't post right away may end up with empty scoreboards in their screenshots.

In some cases, I have to consult the Foldit puzzle page anyway, but this really slows down the process.

Not a huge issue, but another one where the old system was working.

The hotfix (20211202-4c519292a1-win_x86-devprev) now includes the expiration time if you hover over the puzzle name (the clickable link). The score area also says "expired" after hours. It's supposed to show the expiration time when less than 24 hours remain. Maybe they should just always show it under the score, like the good old days.

The dropdowns in the scoreboard area now show the solo/evo and group ranks. As long as "Hide GUI" isn't checked, that's great. It might almost be an improvement. Still, I kind of liked having the expiration and rank displayed, regardless of whether the rest of the GUI is displayed.

Could you just always show it under the score, like the good old days ?

For several puzzles (like 2131), the "on mouse on" behaviour doesn't work: it's necessary to go to the server in order to know the expiration date.

Moreover, personally, I change strategy the latest 3 days: it would be usefull for me to know when we are i teh last 3 days.
