What is the server info so I can verify connection and how can I get updated certs?
Have you updated your software? This issue should resolve itself if your software is up to date.
It doesn't update.
Uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled it.
The recent certificate problem lasted only a few hours. I think they fixed something on the server side, it turned out a client update wasn't required.
See Temporary server issues for some of the details. There was a manual fix, but it wasn't necessary once they figured out the server fix. The manual fix involved downloading a new cacert.pem, and replacing the one installed with Foldit. The updated cacert file is still available, so it might be worth a try.
Before that, take a look at the log.txt file that gets created under c:\Foldit or wherever you have the game installed. If it's not too big, you could paste the whole thing here. Otherwise, the easiest way to upload it is using the #bugs-and-feedback channel on the Foldit Discord server. You can also use the feedback area on fold.it, but it takes two steps. First, you open a new feedback, then you can attach log.txt in a reply to that feedback.
You can't attach a file here in the forum. There's an "add image" button, but it doesn't work.
