OpenGL Error: immediate crash on opening any puzzle with old legacy client

Immediate crash upon trying to start any puzzle. This began happening with the May 19, 2020 developer preview and again June 17 when that build became the main build. I'm running a legacy clone desktop under Windows 10. Seems to be a "just me" issue, any suggestions welcome, including the obvious. It's got to be something simple. Relevant end part of log.txt follows:

After checking discovered mine's the same problem with the same build as Bletchley's report from Saturday. In deference to the other's more complete analysis recommend folding this one into the other (have commented under the Saturday report).
