Is there any way that we might declare emergency powers, and continually allow the top 10-ish unique designs for SARS-CoV-2 binders to be downloaded and worked on by everyone?

It seems like we shouldn't worry so much about which team or individual has the lead, if we end up saving lives.
Just my two cents.

Maybe a new "global" event?

A slight problem(s).

I agree with want you want, but the problem is that there would be less diversity in the proteins, being mainly derived from just those top 10 proteins. Foldit encourages more diversity in the puzzle solutions, and that conflicts with what you are saying. What do you think?

On a side note, as of March 30th, 2020, there already is a puzzle for finding a cure for the coronavirus with the starting protein as spvincent's protein. Is this type of thing what you were thinking about?

Also another problem for a "global" event is that the players in Foldit mostly speak English. And even if Foldit was translated, the Chat is mostly used by players who speak English. So to me it feels like that this is not a truly "global" event, but more of an "English" event.
