I updated my OS tp Catalina and Foldit no longer works.
64 bit is working - now I have to download all my recipes again pout!
Thanks
I will now check 64 bit devprev
Devprev is also working.
Thanks
Great! Glad the 64-bit version is working for you!
I think you should still be able to copy over your recipes from the previous installation. These will be in a file called "all.macro" within the old 32-bit Foldit.app (right-click on the app and select "View Package Contents", then navigate to Contents->Resources->all.macro). You can copy this all.macro file over to the corresponding location in your new 64-bit Foldit.app.
There's some more info about this on the Foldit wiki here:
https://foldit.fandom.com/wiki/Fold.it_Recovery
I had deleted my old client. I have already retrieved the recipes from the www site.
Thanks.
Only old devprev is working.
Nothing happens with new version on OS 10.8.5
I'll try deleting everything and test again
Nothing happens even after deleting evrything ;(
For info: on my old mac, I kept the older version in devprev to be able to play.
Not all recipes are working with the old version, but it's better than nothing.
Older version should be available in a link here.
When I try to open this on my Mac it says Foldit needs to be updated in order to open.
Am I missing an update? I was trying to assign this game as a lab for my class in hopes of helping.
I read the above info...but I do not see an updated link.
Where can I download this where it works with my Mac (running Catalina version 10.15.4).
I always click "no update this time - not recommended"
Can you use the 64-bit version of Foldit for Macs?
The latest macOS version 10.15 (Catalina) does not support 32-bit applications. The 64-bit version of Foldit seems to be working pretty well, but the download link still defaults to the 32-bit version (it's probably about time we change this...).
