Foldit makes a move which was not requested. When I try to undo it. Everthing is so completely frozen that the only way out is to end it in Task Master, and start new client. Luckily it is saving the work prior to the malfunction. So far on three occasions while doing initial hand folding. Have never experienced that before.
Main, Win10/64.

That's really strange! Can you tell us anything more about what you're doing when Foldit hangs? Are you running a recipe or hand-folding? What is the move Foldit makes that was not requested?
You say when you restarted Foldit, the GUI was still frozen. How far did Foldit get after restart? Did it freeze at the splash screen, or when you try to log in, or after you re-open the puzzle?
This is the first I've heard of the Windows Defender message. If you're still having problems, I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing Foldit.
1. It was during hand folding.
2. What Foldit did on its own? Imagine your hand curling in on itself. Thats what happened to a sheet or a neighboring helix.
3.When I restarted, it went all the way to the GUI (original), but all funtions impossible including closing the client by selecting close the window. Had to end the task in the task manager.
Have never seen a log like that. I only printed part of it. it was possibley, approximately 10 times longer with the same output.
This happened to me today in puzzle 1652, same symptom, moving something during hand folding and suddenly the protein kind of "withered" (as though the clashing suddenly got turned from 1 to .1). Couldn't click anything on the game screen. Closing and restarting client it was still sitting there looking sad, but retrievable with credit best.
weird things are now happening when dealing with areas with cuts - other areas move. Never seen this B4. But it's been happening for a while now.
I think something similar happens with my Linux client.
I was trying to drag a part of protein with cuts but instead of it start rubber band.
Suddenly Foldit makes its own move which ended with crash.
Console output:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'utility::UtilityExitException'
what():
File: /home/jflat06/foldit/develop/source/src/interactive/application/actions/cart/ActionCartPull.cc:258
[ ERROR ] UtilityExitException
ERROR: it == constraint_pulls_.end()
The above occurred three times. When I restarted, the GUI was still frozen. So I rebooted my PC and then tried to start fold it again. This time I got something I've never gotten before, a security alert from Windows as follows:
Windows defender has blocked some features of this app. Is this just like the old warnings we used to get from Norton/Symantec or is this something new from Windows. Meaningful warning or ignore? Please advise. Thanks.
