Hi,

I was not able to create contest, because of the message "Difference between start and end date must be no more than 30 days". I entered different end dates (in 2020), but nothing worked, the same message keeps appearing.
Thanks,

Bogdan

I tried starting from today, less than 30 days and it worked.

This may be a new feature, limiting contests to 30 days. Previously, contests could run for years. The Foldit team may have decided that long-running contests are a poor use of resources.

Not directly related, but I recently created a contest from the "Freestyle Design: Variable Length" template. Some tools, such as Idealize SS and Remix, didn't work, giving a "setup is not TYPE_CARTESIAN" error. Other tools, such as wiggling selected segments around an open cutpoint, weren't working as expected.

I suspect that contests in general may have problems. The templates probably need to be updated to the latest version of Foldit internals. There are probably more pressing issues for the Foldit team to work on.

See https://fold.it/portal/node/2005477 TYPE_CARTESIAN issue, etc.
