Beginner Puzzle "Symmetry Design" crashes everytime I try to play it. If I load the puzzle and do nothing at all, it doesn't crash. If I have waited more than about 30 or 45 seconds and then try to move the structure around, or shake, or wiggle, then the puzzle crashes. If I load the puzzle and immediately start shaking, wiggling, etc, then it takes about 30 or 45 seconds for it to crash. If I load the puzzle, but merely move the structure around without actually modifying it, or freeze it, or pan the view, etc, there is no crashing. This is happening to me on two different machines. They are both Windows 7, and I have been informed that the client I am using is a main client, although I don't know how to check that myself.

Susume talked me into making this report - all the blame/glory (whichever will apply) goes to her

Susume also mentioned including the last few lines of my log.txt so here are some. I have not opened any foldit clients since my last crash. I also have some crash .dmp files if anyone is interested

I have shared the current state of my Symmetry Design puzzle with unknown-to-me scientists. The name of my shared solution is SusumeIsTheBest. It is rumored this information might be helpful, do with it what you will

I opened this puzzle in main build 20160314-251e481cf4-win_x86.

Waited a minute, made a shape and brought monomers together, shook and wiggled and moved several times, no crash.

Then I changed all to cysteine, moved the monomers so some cysteines could bridge, and while I was moving it it crashed.

Alright, I'm able to reproduce Susume's steps. This crash is actually giving a logfile error as it crashes, whereas the ongoing disulfide issue has not, so I think these might be unrelated. Hoglahoo's shared solution doesn't contain any disulfides, so I think it's unrelated as well.

I'm having this same issue with the 'new' Symmetry Design puzzle
