Just go to the front page of fold.it and follow the new to foldit link which has for many years led to:

http://fold.it/portal/node/988864

Which is a Post with a down vote of over 200 (wow we can dream) massive response :)

perhaps a look at the introduction to foldit before the download process may be useful for a reasonable being ie 101 level.

I am tempted to mention touch points but hey this is 'science'.

Xoxo

It is ok to say 'follow the prompts'
Although I am not sure how well the localisation is realised.

And then
http://fold.it/portal/info/faq

'There aren't a lot of automated approaches to protein design, so Foldit's human folders will have less competition from the machines.'

Mmm no mention here of scripts which exploit foldit or rosetta code within the 'game' for better or worse. With the purpose of a high score

In particular the ability to explore, mine and use data from publically available fold metrics from other sources.

I've added these sections to that post:
Get familiar with Foldit's goals by reading our about page: http://fold.it/portal/info/about
Review the community rules while the game is downloading here: http://fold.it/portal/guidelines

Removed 'There aren't a lot of automated approaches to protein design, so Foldit's human folders will have less competition from the machines.' and made a mental note to put the entire FAQ on the "review and revise as needed" list.

And I would like to remind people while I'm here that exploits and cheating are expressly forbidden. http://fold.it/portal/guidelines
