After clicking reconnect chat several times after several disconnects, chat will no longer reconnect, despite the network being fine. This an extension to the original issue of "network disruption can permanently disconnect client", and may have a slightly different cause. That is why this is not merged with the original issue.

I cannot attach, open or examine the log file unfortunately because of the oter issue I reported, a monstrously big logfile also exists on this particular machine. It is 4.7 Gigabytes in size.
