It did crash.

This is where I stop playing monomers for a while LOL

I do notice there is an IRC run error code 5 just before it started loading the puzzle I shared to myself.

I will try a fresh puzzle in a main client and see if that crashes on mutate. (probably only need to hit mutate on a strand to see.)

Mutating an unfolded, unaltered strand didn't crash in 40 seconds (first 2 tries crashed in roughly 5 seconds.)

Inserting segments and doing again (5 sets at a time)
(no crashes yet, 10 added segments)
Added 5 more, no crashing.

Changed 1st unaltered strand to all helix and am mutating again. No crash.
..Made a couple blueprint helix to helix loops, No crash yet.
Added 10 segments, made some into sheets and added blue-green loops.
Mutate hasn't crashed it yet. (very random pattern)
Finally crashed after adding another sheet and loop structure and mutating.

2nd client, added all 15 sets and folded it up using Blueprint and blue-green loops between sheets. Layout opposite of one that crashed devprev client.
No crash yet but haven't mutated whole thing.
Crashed about a six count into Mutate all.
Crashlogs attached, am quitting the monomer test.

Both show same IRC error as previous.

So... I'd say 1482 is the worst of the lot for me... can't even handhold it.
Either main or developer preview.

Using "Experimental" clients on this seems to have stopped the "Y" mutate crashes. Will continue to report as I use scripts that mutate.
So far, so good though! (all 2 minutes in)

First go with 2 clients opened, one with the old (main or devprev) pattern, so far no crashes.
Am running the new pattern using some fairly random popular scripts with mutate.
Helix Twister with mutate - no crash
Trying TvDL DremixW 3.0.2 - Thread 4 "pointer being freed not allocated"

(Crash of DremixW has been typical recently, before latest batch of hand-fold "Y" mutates)

Next, trying BandFuze with mutate - So far so good. No crashes with it.

Also ran a group recipe that has been crashing frequently and uses mutate and it hasn't crashed either.
