I was just playing around with the shape as a helix (at .2 CI, BB constraints checked), then turned a couple segs at each end to loop. Froze the helix and was doing hand rebuilds on the loop end when I noticed that although the helix was completely frozen - it was moving for each rebuild pose.
Also, wiggle did lock up a couple of times.
