Recent best after rebuild is not. (either V2 or dev bug)

In dev there are a lot of intermediate result during a rebuild(1).
Tried to pick the best of those, but recent_best is not doing that.
This was in a V2 script.
Tested in main V1, works like you want it. You can get the best intermediate result.
