I can't tell you how many times teammates have asked when wanting to evolve my solution "which alignment did you use?", only to have me answer "beats the ever-lovin' heck out of me... I chose it a week ago, and I can't even remember what I had for breakfast, today".

It would be excellent, especially when running multiple tracks with multiple alignments, to know at all times which alignment name and number is currently being worked. There is ample display space, perhaps in the same window that displays the current score, puzzle name, and number, to show these data.

Hi, open a Segment Information window. You will find the Structure #: model # on the line before the score.

Remember you could have partially threaded that structure/model... I don't know if the threaded segment(s) show a different structure/model info.

I don't know where you're getting that from, but when I hit the Tab key when mousing over a segment, the segment information pop-up window shows no such data. Besides, I don't want to have to stop what I'm doing to get a basic piece of information.

You do, however, make an excellent point: how to display the composition of hybrid structures for partially threaded models. A sequential listing of structures, e.g. "segments 1-50: quark1; segments 51-150: zhang2", should suffice.

Demoting this to priority 5, since the added value of this addition might not justify the time spent to implement it.

Maybe it's an interface thing? In the advanced interface, TAB on a segment gives, the seg # and aa name on line 1, then the PDB# on line 2, then the structure number and name "Structure 9: zhang 4"

Yep, that seems to be it. I have never used the advanced interface; but when I opened a puzzle, switched interfaces, and tab + left clicked on a segment, there was the information.

I still want to be able to tell teammates and others that I started with structure 1, and partially threaded segments 50 to 75 with structure 2 and segments 76 to 100 with structure 3, without having to write it down somewhere, and without clicking on all umpteen segments to determine to which structures they are aligned. Other information about the puzzle is displayed at all times; so why not this?

Restart. Main and dev are the same.

And hitting tab can be done while running recipes, no need to stop.

This is really cool, I didn't now about this. It is not updated by partial threading however (2012-02-21-47554-win_x86)

Was just an idea, another "bells and whistles". Would still be good, but not important enough to pursue at this moment.

I am closing this feedback, and will re-open at a later date, if I feel it necessary.
