Internal client group chat not working on #goscience

The little blue upside-down exclamation mark is not lit, although the other two are when active client loaded. This apparently is happening to all current and new members as we have not been able to communicate with any new members for at least 6 weeks now.
All members are becoming extremely aggravated by this lack of communication with our newbies. While we ( the older members use external clients and thus barely notice the reduced internal client operational, it does bother us quite a bit when we can't post group images, etc.
In my search in the past regarding the problem it seems no one is actually sure that the issue exists or that somehow it is being ignored/bypassed for some unknown reason.
It is a fact, this problem exists and needs to be mitigated soon.
Ok, I'll 3rd this. I haven't been able to get into group chat via client for several months now. It really needs to be fixed. And, from what I've seen, it isn't just happening to the Go Science group. It is ridiculous that one NEEDS an external client to access group chat.
Hanto... thank you for bringing this up. It is very important for new players to be able to communicate with the group. The game is difficult enough without having to get an external irc.

I'll second this, it hasn't worked for a lot longer than 6 weeks.
