It would be nice to be able to run recipes with only the output (and maybe the score) in a little window on the screen. I have noted that recipes run at least twice as fast if I minimize the foldit window.
Setting minimal view options helps a little but not much.
Even more speed could be gained by delaying the image update until the recipe is finished or cancelled.

This could be controlled by an option setting on the cookbook.
