Would it be possible to add a "save to thread" option, where the current configuration of the protein, and a "save partial to thread" option where an area can be selected and then added to the available threads list for a protein ? It would also be helpful if threads could be named so you could differentiate when looking at them more easily.
This would be helpful for mixing/matching bits and pieces from one solution to another, or for manipulation of the protein such as folding sheets at a specific segment, matching loop structure, or aligning bonds. It may also help with restoring loop structures at the end of a helix or loop or other simple things after drastic changes such as register shifts or helix rebuilds.

This is implemented now and will go out soon. When you load a guide, it will be added to the templates you can thread from.
Excellent ! Thank you
Yes, good job!

This has been released.
This was such a useful feature... Is it no longer available ?
Would love to use it, even on non-alignment puzzles :(
There also needs to be an "align to template" option similar to "align guide." (Currently, the option of threading a loaded guide is much less useful if the overall structure differs significantly.)

we will look into why this is no longer available
Thank you :)

so this has always worked on alignment puzzles, what you are asking for is for it to work with puzzles that don't use the Alignment Tool?
As a stop-gap measure, one option might be including the starting configuration as a dummy template so that the alignment tool could be enabled for almost any puzzle.

Yes. But we need ability to load more than 1 solution to mix them.

Nice, I already wrote Dr Baker about your idea some days before, and he liked it.
I called it morphing of two solutions.
A whole-puzzle storing would be more fail-safe I guess, as you can still thread only a part of the loaded information.
