As you noticed in puzzle 284: Mini-CASP 22 - Single Template, the first 23 residues did not align to the template in the starting alignments.
So we ran this sequence through the Disorder Prediction Servers (using metaPrDOS: protein disorder meta-prediciton server) and here are the results:
You can see that all but one of the disorder prediction servers believe that the N-terminus is indeed disordered, so this is why we have trimmed the first 13 residues.
