Did the behavior of wiggle change after the update?

For some reason, after the sequence alignment feature was added to Foldit, global wiggling seems to have slowed down on my computer-- in the sense that sometimes creating an obvious clash with a score drop of several hundreds or even thousands of points would only be wiggled out slowly (e.g. point by point). However, reloading the puzzle and re-calling the wiggle function again would be enough to kick-start the process-- once, that is.

Is this a bug, or does this have something to do with the fact that I have to run Foldit on single core (because running it with both cores would eventually overheat my laptop's CPU)?

I'm finding the same thing. Is it because puzzle 262 is very big?
It seems to me it wiggled faster before the update.

I think I've seen that behaviour too with one of the DNA puzzles (Sequence Alignment wasn't in there yet). You create fairly big clashes and hit wiggle, but it doesn't eliminate them (although moving the protein a bit iirc). I am pretty sure I had Clashing Importance set to 1.0.

Update: the rebuild issue mentioned in http://fold.it/portal/node/987371 is fixed, but the behavior of wiggle is still a problem in Puzzle #267.
