I would like to see the ability to flip side chains added to Lua.
It would be nice to have the ability to walk thru a backbone flipping side chains or pick several out and have a program flip them.

Also is there a way to do pulls besides banding and snapping? It would be nice to do pulls when you program rebuilds and tweaks.

Got my vote.
We need ability to flip side chains and more options for the bands.
In the Foldit Blog you talk about recipes "saving players lots of time" and "the way humans solve protein folding" this would help us do that.

So, you want a tool like flip (and optional shift) working on EVERY segment, not only sheets?
Sounds good.

Did you already tried flipping with rebuild?
What happens, if you apply a very short band on the backbone to fix it, and another band dragging the sidechain to the other side and then execute rebuild?

Thanks for the idea Crash I will play with that tomorrow.
I have seen some flip program; but do they go beyond just flipping them to their native position?

My Pleasure.

I could remind myself of it, because in one of the tutorial puzzles, it is also done this way to turn a sidechain from outside to inside.
