some blog comments not showing

Is there a glitch with the display of blog comments? In the latest entry "Will this work? We'll see....", the counter shows there are ten comments; yet, when I go the comments section, there are only seven responses.

I have a personal interest in this entry; I would like to know what the missing comments say.

I've noticed throughout the site that when SPAM comments or posts are deleted (hidden?) that the comment or post count doesn't get reset.
