So far I started a wiggle of the backbone and it has continued to climb in points by .001 at approximately 3 secs per increment. So far I've gained 2.000 points just from allowing it to increment this way. I was wondering if it really is finding more optimum configurations or if this was a "feature". If I'm correct in 12.5 days I should lead in points without having made any modifications, but just let it wiggle. Will it eventually stop?

most likely, there is a spot where you could get several points from a small nudge+wiggle. If the protein is "stuck", the wiggle will improve this point in minimal steps. A nudge would free the possible movement in one step.
