I had to reinstall Foldit. So I downloaded the latest version (18 MB). Right after installation it contacted the server looking for updates and it downloaded the whole thing again.

I am sure it could be possible for the initial installation to download only the basic components that create the environment, and when it's done the rest of the components downloaded like an update.

This would save a lot of time and bandwidth.... and gives a professional impression.
