At present H-bonds only appear between parts of the protein designated as beta sheets - would it be possible to have an option to always show H-bonds even in loop segments (would make it easier to spot alpha helices and beta sheets in the first place, etc)?

I've heard some people say this would slow things down too much because of the H-bond animation but maybe there could be an option to make it static OR animated depending on performance requirements

I like the idea of having static images optionally applied to the hydrogen bonds instead of the png based animations, as it would allow the player to reduce the load on his/her graphics engine and the program in general, perhaps providing more power to other portions of the program and/or improving speed.

I believe it would also enable the visualization mode that is described above, by the very act of reducing that load. And from what I've learned, it could be quite beneficial in evaluating helical structures by the player...

Don't know about the non-png image suggestion, but Seth is currently working on a view option to display hydrogen bonds for helices and sidechains and such.

The last release has options to show all the hydrogen bonds.
