I launched straight into 122 with some major changes which led me nowhere. I would like to go back to the start but cannot find a save. Can I copy a file from the server or load one from my application data directory (xp)?

Just hit Ctrl-R or click on the button with the two little blue arrows under your score to reset the puzzle.
