According to his user page, spvincent joined Foldit in 2007.
If the date this was posted, 05/08/2020, is Foldit's 12th birthday, then Foldit was created on 05/08/2008.
But spvincent joined Foldit in 2007, so Foldit must've existed in 2007 too, so it was not created in 2008.
So Foldit's birthday is either its 13th or above, not its 12th. It might be a typo.
Today is May 8th, 2020, not April 1st, 2020.
You can search through Foldit's previous birthdays, such as the last two:
My 11th year with the project is coming up too, congratulations and a big thank you to all who contributed. That we may celebrate it with a victory over Corona and other diseases !
Best wishes BP
Not unlike riverboat gambling, but there have been some big wins.
Let’s all hope there are more. Happy birthday Foldit.

I would like to say Happy Birthday to everyone, thank you for putting up with another year of me and our teams antics, our battles, our hours and hours ot time, patience and design that has made this year one of the most intense years of folding I can remember. much love to you All ! even brick. haha.
It has been great to see so many old names back in the game, fighting for a rank in the top 100. or top 5 places. We have all really become a powerhouse for protein design and folding of anything now, with recipes that slowly and surely outperform most folders ability to score so highly...
I hope one day we can all united internationally and create a unified folders guild/folders factory/foldathons/fold for life/folders foundation to support and teach protein folders universally, complete a PDB which is the Bible of the future of Science and Facts that our children can one day use to create life and beautiful things that sustain and support Nature, life.
I would like to remember those that have fallen battling their own disease, while giving what they had left to us, and those that will never know the dedication and love they put into this art, this craft, this 'game" and to Science. Rest in Peace Dear Friends, Folders.
To my friends, see you at the top.
You one of the first players of the game (long before myself).
Great words for the birthday.
