On the "fixed" version of 1311 the "show isosurface" view option shows the isosurface for three of the six symmetric chains. The main modifiable chain is not included. See the attached image. It would seem that the tool show either work on just the main chain or on all the chains. Perhaps this is a clue toward solving the issues with this puzzle or symmetry puzzles in general.
