Group management bug fixed

There was a high-profile bug on the site recently: groups that had been created prior to last Thursday could not be managed. I tracked this down to a subtle upgrade issue, and it has now been fixed.

Fading out some old contributions

A few weeks ago we mentioned that we would start fading out the contributions to your scores from puzzles that had been open before the separation of individual and group scores. This process is now complete, and while you can still view the old puzzles and all the rankings and points gathered on them, all puzzles before CASP8 T0492 Start 1 do not count toward your point totals.

This also has some effect on player rankings, in that the inertia of many old puzzles was removed, so those players more active recently have come to the fore, and those that had been active chiefly in the past have slipped quite a lot.

New score pages

We've introduced new score pages, which let you glance through the users on the site more easily. The default style is more compact, showing 50 users at a time, but the old style is preserved when you look for players with pictures or profiles. Scores can be broken down by soloist or evolver scores, and each globally, in the last month, or in the last week.

Fix Update

We have posted a small update to address some recent issues.  This should fix the crash during local wiggles on T0469, as well as the crash that some users experienced during network problems.
